THE LIVING DIWALI · SPONSORS & SUPPORTERS

HELP KEEP THE JOURNEY FREE.

The Living Diwali is being built as a free worldwide experience—beginning with six days during Diwali and opening, for those who freely choose it, into an optional Diwali-to-Diwali journey.

SPONSORS MAY SUPPORT THE JOURNEY.
THEY DO NOT OWN THE JOURNEY.

We welcome organizations that understand the difference.

WHY SUPPORT MATTERS

Free for the participant does not mean free to create.

A worldwide digital experience requires design, development, infrastructure, communication, stewardship, creative work, accessibility, testing, maintenance, and the ability to grow responsibly as more people participate.

Support can help make that work possible while allowing the public experience itself to remain free and voluntary.

The purpose of support is to help the light travel farther—not to purchase the right to direct where it goes.

WHAT SUPPORT CAN HELP MAKE POSSIBLE

Build the experience. Protect its accessibility. Help it reach farther.

THE INDEPENDENCE PRINCIPLE

Support must never become ownership.

The Living Diwali is not being designed as an advertising platform. Supporting Sponsors may receive appropriate acknowledgment, but financial support does not purchase editorial control, spiritual authority, access to identifiable or private participant information, or ownership of the experience. Any separate research, reporting, or aggregate-insights relationship must be expressly defined, privacy-protected, and governed independently from sponsorship.

NO BANNER ADVERTISING INSIDE THE JOURNEY
NO SPONSORED SPIRITUAL CONTENT
NO SPONSORED DAYS
NO PRODUCT PLACEMENT INSIDE THE EXPERIENCE
NO ACCESS TO IDENTIFIABLE OR PRIVATE PARTICIPANT DATA
NO EDITORIAL OR PHILOSOPHICAL CONTROL

THE EXPERIENCE IS NOT FOR SALE.

WHO MAY SUPPORT

We are looking for organizations that recognize what this is trying to become.

CORPORATIONS & EMPLOYERS

Organizations that value Diwali, cultural understanding, human flourishing, service, knowledge, hope, and constructive participation.

FOUNDATIONS & PHILANTHROPIC SUPPORTERS

Organizations interested in public-good digital experiences, cultural participation, education, community, and work intended to remain broadly accessible.

CULTURAL & COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

Groups that understand Diwali's cultural significance and want to help more people encounter the festival's movement from darkness toward light.

VALUES-ALIGNED INSTITUTIONS

Institutions willing to support the work without attempting to control its meaning, participants, or future direction.

PRIVACY-PROTECTED RESEARCH & INSIGHTS

Participant privacy and responsible research can coexist.

WHAT REMAINS PRIVATE

Supporting the project does not provide access to participant email lists, identities, private reflections, Future-Self Letters, precise personal locations, or raw identifiable participant records.

Private participant content is not a sponsorship benefit.

WHAT MAY BE DEVELOPED

Separately from sponsorship, The Living Diwali may develop privacy-protected research, reports, statistics, trends, visualizations, and other insights derived from participation data where the necessary notice, consent, permissions, and safeguards are in place.

Depending on the project and applicable requirements, such work may be published, licensed, commissioned, or developed through research, institutional, or commercial partnerships.

We can create useful knowledge from collective patterns without turning a participant's private life into a product.

Any future research or insights program should use data minimization, clear participant disclosures, appropriate consent where required, privacy protection, and careful separation between identifiable/private information and aggregate or otherwise appropriately de-identified analysis.

RECOGNITION WITHOUT INTRUSION

Supporters can be acknowledged without interrupting the experience.

Rather than placing advertisements throughout a contemplative journey, Supporting Sponsors can be recognized in a separate, clearly identified Sponsors & Supporters area and in appropriate project communications or materials when agreed.

Recognition should be dignified, transparent, proportionate, and separate from the participant's spiritual or reflective path.

Acknowledgment is possible. Influence over the participant's journey is not.

SPONSORSHIP IS NOT CORPORATE GIFTING

Two different ways for an organization to participate.

SUPPORT THE EXPERIENCE

Sponsorship helps fund the free public Living Diwali experience and its infrastructure, stewardship, creative development, and future growth. Sponsorship itself does not confer rights to identifiable/private participant data; any separate aggregate research or insights arrangement must be expressly defined on its own terms.

GIVE THE BOOK

Corporate Gifting is for organizations purchasing physical copies of Light Up The Darkness for employees, executives, clients, partners, VIP guests, or cultural programs.

HOW A SUPPORT CONVERSATION BEGINS

We respond in writing.

If there appears to be a fit, we can discuss support, recognition, boundaries, timing, and next steps in writing.

FEATURED IN NEW INDIA ABROAD

“New book turns Diwali into a six-day journey of reflection and renewal.”

New India Abroad covered the six-day Diwali approach behind Light Up The Darkness: A Fluorescent Awakening, the book from which The Living Diwali's first six-day path grows.

QUESTIONS FROM POTENTIAL SUPPORTERS

Before you reach out.

Is The Living Diwali free to participants?

Yes. The Six-Day Living Diwali Experience is free. At the end of those six days, participants may freely choose whether to stop or continue into the optional free Diwali-to-Diwali journey.

Does sponsorship provide access to participant information?

Not to identifiable or private participant information. Supporting the project does not provide participant email lists, identities, private responses, Future-Self Letters, precise personal locations, or raw identifiable participant records. Separately, approved aggregate findings, reports, statistics, or privacy-protected analyses may be developed or made available under an expressly defined research, institutional, or commercial arrangement where appropriate safeguards, disclosures, permissions, and consent requirements are satisfied.

Could aggregate Living Diwali research or insights ever be licensed or sold?

Potentially, yes. The Living Diwali may develop aggregate or otherwise appropriately privacy-protected research products, reports, analyses, statistics, visualizations, or commissioned studies. These may potentially be published, licensed, sold, or developed with research, institutional, or commercial partners. That is different from selling identifiable participant information or private participant content, which is not offered as a sponsorship benefit.

Can a sponsor place advertising inside the experience?

No. The Living Diwali is not being designed as a conventional advertising platform. Sponsor acknowledgment is kept separate from the contemplative participant journey.

Can a sponsor influence the content?

No. Financial support does not purchase editorial, spiritual, philosophical, or creative control.

Will sponsors be publicly recognized?

Appropriate recognition may be available for accepted Supporting Sponsors, including acknowledgment in a separate Sponsors & Supporters area or other agreed project materials. Specific recognition is discussed in writing.

Are there published sponsorship tiers?

Not at this stage. We prefer to begin with the organization, purpose, proposed support, fit, and boundaries rather than forcing every relationship into a predetermined package.

Is sponsorship the same as buying books for employees?

No. Sponsorship supports The Living Diwali itself. Corporate Gifting is a separate program for purchasing physical books for employees, executives, clients, partners, VIP guests, cultural programs, or other recipients.

HELP THE LIGHT TRAVEL FARTHER

Support something people can enter freely.

If your organization believes this work deserves to exist, grow, and remain accessible without turning the participant's journey into an advertising product, we would be glad to hear from you.

SUPPORT THE JOURNEY.
PROTECT ITS INDEPENDENCE.
